How do I sign up for Covercube insurance?

You can contact one of our licensed insurance agencies by clicking on Find an Agent on our website or calling Covercube at (844)958-4953.

Can I try the app before signing up?

Yes, you can download the app and choose the option “try the app”. You will be able to drive with the app and see how much you could save if you signed up for Covercube insurance.

Using the app

Where can I download the app?

You will be able to download the app from App Store or Google Play.

How does the app work?

Once you pair the app to your vehicle’s Bluetooth and allow the app to use location services, we match your driving habits to our AI’s library of driver patterns and provide a score. Your insurance premium is based on who drives your vehicle and how well they drive. Whoever is driving your vehicle is encouraged to download the app and track their scores. Tell your friends about the Covercube app and compete against them for lower scores.

Do I have to activate the app every time I drive?

No, the app works in background mode. Make sure you always keep Bluetooth and location services activated on your phone.

Connecting to car

How do I connect to my car’s Bluetooth?

Follow these steps to connect the app to your car:

  1. Press the drive button in the app
  2. Start your car’s engine
  3. Your car should show up in the app
  4. Select your car

If your car has Bluetooth, but does not show up in the app, you might need to check the Bluetooth settings for both your phone and your car. Try resetting your car’s connection to your phone by removing it and then adding it again.

I don’t have Bluetooth in my car, can I still use the app?

If your car doesn’t have Bluetooth, please contact support at (844)958-4953 to order an OBD reader that you will need to plug in to your car.

Risk level and scoring

How does the scoring system work?

The lower the score the more savings you can earn. You will see your potential savings with each trip.

How can I improve my score?

Your score is based on the driving patterns you create with each trip. Concentrate on your driving skills to improve your scores. We will provide a history of all your trips so you can see how you’re doing.

Insurance and payments

How do I renew my insurance?

You will be notified in the app when it’s time to renew your insurance. If you don’t have automatic renewal set up, follow the steps in the app to ensure you have coverage for the following month.

How do I set up automatic renewal?

Covercube offers electronic funds transfer from your checking account or recurring credit card payment from your credit/debit card. You can sign up for these payment plans when you start your policy or any time during your policy term by logging into covercube.com.

What happens if I forget to renew before my insurance has expired?

You will have 15 days from the expiration date to make a payment and continue your policy with Covercube with a lapse in coverage.

When will my rate change?

The app will track your scores and provide a rate based on your driving habits. You will get the first monthly rate that is based on your driving after your first six-month period. Your rate will then change on a monthly basis based on your score and driving habits. You will receive updates after each trip advising you of your potential savings or if you need to improve your driving score to earn a discount.

Can I switch to Covercube if I already have an active insurance policy?

Yes, you can switch your insurance any time. Most insurance companies do not have an early termination penalty, but you will need to inquire with your current insurance carrier.

How do I terminate my insurance?

Contact your insurance agency to terminate your insurance.

I drive for a ridesharing company, will you insure my vehicle?

Yes, you must advise your agent that your vehicle is used for a ridesharing company and they will apply the ridesharing endorsement to your policy.

Can I sign up for insurance to begin today?

Your policy begins on the date and time when you electronically sign the application and make the down payment on your policy.

Does Covercube accept drivers that are not licensed in the United States?

Yes, Covercube accepts drivers who are licensed in other countries.

Claims

How do I file a claim?

You can file a claim by contacting (888) 992-3306 or clicking on File a Claim in your Covercube app.

How long will it take to process my claim?

An insurance adjuster will contact you within 24 hours of your claim being submitted. The entire claims process will depend on the complexity of the claim.

How will I get paid for a claim?

Once a claim settlement is determined, you can receive a check or an electronic payment into your bank account.
